Custom Lifting Chain Assemblies

At Deacon Products we have over 50 years of experience in manufacturing custom chain assemblies for our customers. We manufacture fully customisable solutions made to fit your lifting requirements at our warehouse in the heart of the West Midlands.

We stock a wide range of products suitable for use in chain sling assemblies – including chain, links and hooks in both Grade 80 and Grade 100. Our products are supplied tested and have the individual Working Load Limit (W.L.L.) embossed on the product. Assemblies total W.L.L. is clearly stamped onto the chain tag attached to the assembly – helping you and your team stay safe during use. Our chain slings are manufactured to meet BS EN818-4 specification.

Grade 100 is our newest line of lifting products, this is typically 25% stronger than Grade 80, providing you with more lifting capacity for the same size product.

Our chain slings are made up of both standard parts, hooks and optional parts.

Standard assembly parts: Short Link Chain, Master Link or Quad Link (depending on number of legs), Component Connector and a Chain Tag.

Hooks: pick from our full range of hooks (please note that non clevis topped hooks require additional component connectors).

Optional parts: Shortening Clutch and Quad Link with Enlarged Subs (for Grade 80 three and four leg assemblies only).

Step 1: Working Load Limit (W.L.L.) required

If you know the maximum weight that you will need to lift, this helps make some of the decisions for you. Use the tables below to work out what material grade, chain size/diameter and number of legs that you need.

Step 2: Chain Length

Let us know the length of the chain needed or the length of the total assembly and we can work out the chain length for you

Step 3: Hook Style

Choose from our full range of Grade 80 and Grade 100 hooks, please note that non clevis hooks will require additional component connectors.

Grade 80 Hooks available: Swivel Auto Lock Hook, Clevis Auto Lock Hook, Clevis Auto Lock Hook with Grip Latch, Eye Auto Lock Hook, Clevis Sling Hook with Safety Catch, Eye Sling Hook with Safety Catch and Clevis Grab Hook.

Grade 100 Hooks: Clevis Auto Look Hook, Clevis Sling Hook with Safety Catch and Clevis Grab Hook.

Step 4: Optional Parts

Let us know if you want to add a Shortening Clutch to the assembly or switch to a Quad Link with Enlarged Subs – for Grade 80 three or four leg assemblies up to size 13mm chain only.
